(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the Florida Panthers have reassigned forwards Adam Taylor and Dan Collins to the Florida Everblades (ECHL). In a related move, the Panthers have also reassigned defenseman Franklin MacDonald to the Amerks.

Taylor heads down to Florida for the second time this season after returning to Rochester on October 24th. The Campbell River, British Columbia, native has one goal and eight penalty minutes (PIM) in 16 games with the Amerks. This season with the Everblades, Taylor has registered one goal in two games.

Collins makes his first trip to the ECHL after recording three goals and five assists for eight points in 24 games with Rochester. Prior to his arrival to the Flower City, the Syracuse native had an illustrious four-year career with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League, notching 86 goals and 99 assists for 185 points in 237 total games. The 20-year-old right wing was a third-round selection (90th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

MacDonald returns to Rochester's defensive corps for the second time this season after last being reassigned to Florida on November 24th. The 22-year-old blueliner has a pair of assists and six PIM in five games with the Amerks this season. While a member of the Everblades, MacDonald has collected eight points (2+6) and 20 PIM in 11 appearances. MacDonald signed with the Florida Panthers as a free agent on September 19, 2006.

Rochester's December home schedule kicks off with a North Division matchup as the Amerks play host to the Toronto Marlies on Friday, December 7th. The 7:35 p.m. contest will be broadcast live on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and B2 networks. The game can also be seen live on Time Warner SportsNet Channel 26. The game will be the first visit from the Marlies to The Blue Cross Arena and the second of eight scheduled meetings between the two teams this season. The contest falls on the next installment of the Amerks' Friday Night Frenzies. Prior to the game, fans can enjoy live music from The Greater Rochester Jazz Orchestra up until gametime.
