The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will begin their 15th anniversary season in the AHL this Friday, October 15th in Rochester, New York with a match up against North Division counterpart, the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers) at 7:35 PM. The Bulldogs are currently the only team in the AHL that have yet to play a 2010-2011 regular season game. Following Friday's tilt, the 'Dogs will take to the ice for their first home game of the season at Copps Coliseum on Saturday, October 16th for a 4:00 PM showdown against their Ontario archrivals, the Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs).

The 2010-2011 'Dogs pre-season saw the team travel to Newfoundland to take on the Binghamton Senators (AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators) in three consecutive games. The 'Dogs started off the week in Corner Brook, defeating the Senators on Thursday, September 30th, by a margin of 3-0 with LW J.T. Wyman netting a pair of goals in the win. The second of the three pre-season games saw the Bulldogs and Senators travel to Grand Falls-Windsor on Saturday, October 2nd, where the 'Dogs defeated Binghamton by a score of 3-2. C David Desharnais recorded two goals while C Gabriel Dumont netted the other. One day later on Sunday, October 3rd, the 'Dogs and the Binghamton Senators squared off for their third and final preseason game in St. John's. The final affair saw the 'Dogs take a third consecutive victory against the Senators, by defeating Binghamton 4-3. The game went to a shootout where LW Dany Masse scored in the ninth round to win the game.
