Haggett comes back to Titans

TRENTON, NJ (August 16, 2006) - The Trenton Titans announced on Thursday that they have agreed to terms with forward Les Haggett for the 2006-07 season. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Haggett, 26, returns to the Titans after signing with the Greenville Grrrowl last year for his first full rookie season. The second-year pro led the Grrrowl with 48 assists, finished with the team's third-highest point total (62), while also registering 14 goals and 50 penalty minutes over 71 games.

Joining Trenton following the completion of his senior season at Brown University, Haggett became a vital part of the Titans' run to the 2005 Kelly Cup. The 6-0, 192-pound forward put up 10 points (3g, 7a) in 11 regular season contests and 8 points (2g, 6a) in 20 post-season matches as Trenton claimed its first championship in team history.

A native of Norwood, NY, Haggett registered 101 points (35g, 66a) and 85 penalty minutes in 121 games during his four-year collegiate career at Brown (2001-05).

Haggett becomes the ninth player to sign with the Titans for 2006-07, joining forwards Scott Bertoli, Alex Goupil, Jim Henkel, Brian McConnell, Scott Selig and Peter Zingoni and defensemen Chris Cava and Peter Tormey.
