Casey Haerther has been named the ZEV Custom Apparel Goldeyes player of the Month for June.
Haerther, 26, led the Fish in June with a .410 batting average through the Goldeyes' 26 games. He was the only player to reach over 60 total bases for the month, and led the team in doubles with 11. Haerther's hot bat drove in a team leading 21 runs, and gave him 41 hits.
On the season, Haerther leads the league with his overall .392 batting average, which is 37 points ahead of the second place batter. He is also the league-leading first baseman with a .977 fielding percentage.
For Haerther's outstanding month, he will receive a custom-fitted suit, courtesy of ZEV Custom Apparel.
The Goldeyes continue their three-game series against the Kansas City T-Bones on Wednesday night at Shaw Park. After wrapping up the series on Thursday, the Fish will head to Fargo to take on the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in a three-game series that goes this weekend.
