Cape Breton Eagles News Release
Sydney - The Screaming Eagles announce that right-winger Joey Haddad will return to the team after signing a contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League.
Haddad was expected to sign an entry-level contract with the Penguins on Thursday.
Haddad attended the Penguins Rookie Tournament in Kitchener, Ontario in early September before being invited to the team's Main Camp.
He was later sent to the Penguins American Hockey League affiliate in Wilkes-Barre Scranton, Pennsylvania on September 17th.
The addition of Haddad means that the Screaming Eagles will have four players for three overage positions on the hockey club.
General Manager and Head Coach Mario Durocher is expected to make a decision regarding that situation on Friday.
