Gwinnett's Carrozzi Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J.- Chris Carrozzi of the Gwinnett Gladiators is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Feb. 28-March 6.

The 21 year old was 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.50 goals-against average and a .953 save percentage in two appearances last week for the Gladiators who extended their winning streak to six games, improving their overall record to 28-25-7 for 63 points.

Carrozzi recorded his second shutout of the season with 27 saves in a 3-0 win over Trenton on ‚¬Ë†Saturday and then made 34 saves in a 4-3 victory against the Devils on Sunday.

The Nepean, Ontario native has appeared in 37 games for the Gladiators this season posting a 15-13-5 record with two shutouts, a 3.13 goals-against average and an .899 save percentage. He has also seen action in one AHL game with ‚¬Ë†Chicago.

A sixth-round selection (154th overall) of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Carrozzi appeared in 156 Ontario Hockey League games with Toronto and ‚¬Ë†Mississauga from 2006-2010 posting a record of 77-49-12 with 11 shutouts, a 2.92 goals-against average and a save percentage of .908.

Runners Up: Adam Courchaine, ‚¬Ë†Alaska (2-1-0, 1.67 GAA, .945 save pct.) and Bobby Goepfert, Florida (1-1-0, 1.01 GAA, .967 save pct.).
