BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will be back on home ice for the first time in 2010 tomorrow night, hosting the Missouri Mavericks at 7:05 pm, presented by the Mudbug Boilers Booster Club. Tomorrow's game will also be our first "Guns 'N Hoses Night" celebration, where we recognize the law enforcement officers and firefighters who serve our communities every day.
Join us in welcoming law enforcement officers and firefighters from all over the Ark-La-Tex tomorrow night as the 'Bugs meet the Mavericks for the second time this season. We'll be highlighting our Guns 'N Hoses guests throughout tomorrow's game and will even pit police officers and firefighters against one another with a friendly tug-o-war competition at intermission.
The Mudbugs will wear special Guns 'N Hoses themed jerseys tomorrow night courtesy of the Mudbug Boilers Booster Club. The jerseys will be auctioned off to the fans after the game, so be sure to stick around and take home a great piece of Mudbugs Guns 'N Hoses memorabilia!
Fans will also have an opportunity to participate in public skating following Saturday night's game. Anyone attending the game is
invited to rent a pair of ice skates or bring their own to skate on the CenturyTel Center ice for a cost of just $6.00 per person including skate rental. Public skating is limited to the first 100 people to sign up at the Gateway Tire Fan Services Center located inside the main CTC entrance.
Tomorrow's game will be the second meeting of the year between Bossier-Shreveport and Missouri, with the Mudbugs topping the Mavericks 3-2 in their first matchup back on November 28. The Mavs trail the 'Bugs by six points in the Northern Conference standings coming into Friday night's action.
The Mudbugs are in Corpus Christi tonight to face the IceRays in their first game of 2010 at 5:05 pm. The 'Bugs are 1-0 against the IceRays this year after coming from behind to win 4-3 in Corpus during opening weekend for their first victory of the season. Tonight's game can be heard live on AM 1130 KWKH following coverage of LSU vs. Penn State in the Capital One Bowl.
