(Odessa, TX) - Four consecutive penalties called against the Odessa Jackalopes, in the third period, gave the Amarillo Gorillas the 5-on-3 power play they needed to pickup a 4-3 comeback win at the Ector County Coliseum on Friday night. The loss snaps Odessa's eight-game winning streak.

David Nimmo deflected home the power play goal to give the Gorillas the 4-3 lead. It was the last of five goals scored in the third frame.

Odessa opened the scoring with the first period's only goal. Jean Bourbeau scored at 12:43 from Brian Swiniarski on a terrific play. The Jacks forward carried a puck through the left circle, around a defender, drew the Amarillo goaltender out of position before circling behind the net and scoring on a backhanded, wrap around effort. Odessa led, 1-0, after the first period of play.

Odessa took a 2-0 lead in the second period with Dominic Leveille's goal at 16:02. Leveille one-timed a centering feed from behind the net from Kory Karlander for his 10th goal of the season. The Jackalopes held a 2-0 advantage entering the break.

Amarillo tied the game up with two goals in the first three minutes of the third period from Jason Beeman and Stuart MacRae. Kenny Bernard then made it 3-2, Odessa, at 3:45 with his 16th of the season. Beeman tied the game at 3-3 on a two-on-one play at 8:30 to setup the game-winner form Nimmo.

Joel Martin made 20 saves in the loss. It was his first regulation loss in net since October 17th.

The Jackalopes wrap up their three-game weekend on Saturday, when they host the Corpus Christi IceRays at 7:05 PM at the Ector County Coliseum. The action can be heard on 102.1 Jack FM.
