
Gulls Sign Matthew Berry, Ryan Faragher, Antoine Laganiere, Bryan Moore and Kyle MacKinnon

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed right wing Matthew Berry, goalie Ryan Faragher, center Antoine Laganiere and left wing Bryan Moore to one-year contracts, and center Kyle MacKinnon to a two-year contract. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deals were disclosed.
Berry, 22 (8/18/92), recorded 12-17=29 points in 29 games with Michigan State University last season. Berry, 5-10, 170-pounds, appeared in 130 career games with Michigan State, collecting 48-48- points with 105 PIM. The Canton, Michigan native joined the Norfolk Admirals (AHL) at the end of the season, going scoreless in five games.
Faragher, 25 (7/3/90), made his professional debut with the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL) last season (10/18/14) and split time between the Admirals and Grizzlies, appearing in 39 games. With the Admirals, Faragher, 6-2, 202-pounds, owned a 2.57 GAA and .901 SV% with one shutout. The Fort Frances, Ontario native appeared in 99 games with St. Cloud State before signing a one-year entry-level contract with Anaheim on April 7, 2014.
Laganiere, 25 (7/5/90), collected 14-7=21 points with 42 PIM in 73 games with the Admirals last season. In 145 career AHL games, Laganiere has 24-15=39 points. The 6-4, 196-pound center joined the Admirals after four seasons with Yale University where he collected 46-39... points in 122 games. Born in L'Ile-Cadieux, Quebec, Laganiere signed a two-year entry-level contract with Anaheim on April 16, 2013.
Moore, 21 (5/25/94), has yet to make his professional debut. The Indian Trail, North Carolina native appeared in 59 games with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (OHL) last season (23-27=50). Moore, 5-11, 202-pounds, played three seasons in the OHL, collecting 59-82=141 points in 181 games with the Sarnia Sting and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Moore has also recorded 10-7=17 points in 24 OHL postseason games.
MacKinnon, 27 (10/28/87), recorded 6-21=27 points in 47 games with the St. John's IceCaps (AHL) last season. The Walnut, CA native has appeared in 260 career AHL games with Providence and St. John's, collecting 46-72=118 points with a +25 rating. Prior to his professional career, the 5-11, 185-pound center appeared in 137 games with Providence College collecting 46-72=118 points.
