Tampa Bay Lightning Re-Sign Philippe Paradis to One-Year Contract

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed forward Philippe Paradis to a one-year, two-way contract, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today. Paradis, 24, skated in 34 games with the Syracuse Crunch during the 2014-15 season, posting eight goals and 15 points to go along with 49 penalty minutes. He ranked fifth on Syracuse with a +10 rating. Paradis missed the final three months of the season due to injury, which he suffered in early February.

Despite missing the final portion, Paradis recorded a career-best eight goals in the 2014-15 season. The Dolbeau, Quebec native has skated in 200 career American Hockey League games over the past six seasons with the Crunch, Rockford IceHogs and Toronto Marlies, recording 21 goals and 58 points. Paradis appeared in 18 Calder Cup Playoff games with the Crunch in 2013, registering three goals and four points to go along with 23 penalty minutes. Paradis was acquired by the Lightning from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Kirill Gotovets on April 2, 2013.

The Syracuse Crunch will hold their 2015-16 home opener on Oct. 17. Season tickets for the 2015-16 season are on sale now and can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located in the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse or by calling the office at (315) 473-4444.
