NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - Mark Guggenberger earned his third straight shutout Friday night in the Brahmas' 1-0 win over the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, setting a Central Hockey League season high in individual consecutive scoreless minutes and nearing the CHL all-time record in the same category. Guggenberger (14-4-3) is the first goalie in Brahmas' history to record three consecutive shutouts.

The rookie goaltender saved all 25 shots fired by the Bees, extending his consecutive scoreless minutes streak to 215:16. Only three players in the history of the CHL have posted a longer streak, with John DeCaro topping the list with 222:41 for the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in 2007-08. Guggenberger, who leads the CHL with a 1.92 goals against average and .928 save percentage, needs only 7:25 more without allowing a goal to reach the all-time mark.

Jacques Perreault scored the lone goal of the game, beating Bees' netminder Wylie Rogers with a top-shelf wrister off a crossing dish from Chad Woollard at the 6:13 mark of the second period. The goal was Perreault's fifth of the season and second in three games.

Guggenberger will look to make CHL history on Saturday, February 18 when the Brahmas host the Killer Bees at the NYTEX Sports Centre at 7:30pm.
