(Guelph, ON)- The Guelph Storm in conjunction with the Canadian Hockey League announced today that the Storm will host the first leg of the OHL portion of the ADT Canada/Russia Series on Thursday, November 20th at the Sleeman Centre. The Niagara Ice Dogs will play host for the second OHL game on Monday, November 24th in St. Catharines.

"We are extremely honoured to have the opportunity to host such a special event," Storm President Rick Hoyle said. "The talent showcased in this series should be exciting to watch. It will be a must see for all Storm fans."

The 2008 ADT Canada/Russia Challenge opens in Cape Breton as the Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL host the first game on Monday, November 17th followed by the Saint John Sea Dogs on Wednesday, November 19th. The series concludes in the WHL with games in Swift Current (Wednesday, November 26) and Prince Albert (Thursday, November 27).

The ADT Canada/Russia Challenge features a team of CHL All-Stars representing each regional league that will compete against the Russian National Junior team. Each of the three regional league teams are selected by a committee of league General Managers that work with Al Murray, Hockey Canada's head scout for the Canadian National Junior team.

All six games will be broadcast nationally on Rogers Sportsnet with RDS televising both games from the QMJHL.

Last season the CHL won four of the six games of the series and Team Canada would later go on to defeat Sweden to win the gold medal at the 2008 IIHF World Junior Championships. Russia defeated the United States to win the bronze medal.

Tickets for the Guelph leg of the challenge will be available for sale on Monday, September 22nd starting at 10am at the Guelph Storm Box Office. Pricing will be released at a later date.
