Game notes... After wrapping up a busy six day stretch where the Storm won 3 of 4 games, Guelph will play only 2 games this week... The Storm open their week on home ice, playing the back end of a home-and-home series versus the Erie Otters... Friday night's home game will be the last in a long while for the Storm with the KIA Cup Ontario Curling Championships taking over the GSEC. The Storm's next home game will be on Wednesday, February 15th when rookie star John Tavares and the Oshawa Generals make their lone visit to Guelph this season... On Wednesday night in Erie, the Storm prevailed over the Otters by a 3-1 margin... Ryan Callahan scored a pair of goals on Wednesday for the Storm leaving him 11 goals shy of shattering Jeff O'Neill's franchise record for career regular season goals. O'Neill scored 120 goals for the Storm... The Storm scored a pair of powerplay goals on Wednesday, along with a shorthanded marker... The Otters' lineup includes a pair of gold medalists from Canada's 2006 World Junior Championship team. Ryan O'Marra and Michael Blunden both played for Canada... In Wednesday's contest, Blunden and Team Canada teammate Ryan Parent picked up fighting majors for a second period tussle... Rookie goaltender Ryan Ludzik made only his second career OHL start on Wednesday stopping 24 of 27 Storm shots in the loss... The Storm improved their record versus Midwest Division opponents to 13-3-0-1 with their wins last week over London and Erie... The Otters' top 2 picks from the 2005 OHL Priority Selection, Anthony Peluso (10th overall) and Nick Palmieri (30th overall) have played well at times this season with 8 points and 14 points respectively.

Game notes... Sunday's game will be televised on Rogers Sportsnet for the second consecutive Sunday. The Storm's one-goal win on the 22nd was televised across Canada, while this Sunday's game will be broadcast across Sportsnet's Ontario region... Since January 1st, 2004, the London Knights have played 181 regular season, playoff and Memorial Cup games losing only 30 times. Of those 30 losses, including shootouts, 11 have been versus the Storm... This game will mark the final meeting of the regular season between these two Midwest Division rivals, the two clubs are currently in a three-way battle with the Kitchener Rangers for first in their division and first in the Western Conference... With 96 points in only 35 games, Knights' winger Rob Schremp continues to be the most top point producer in the OHL. While he has only played in 3 of 5 meetings versus the Storm this season, Guelph has managed to shut down the OHL's top gun limiting Schremp to 0 goals and 2 assists in the season series... London's Sergei Kostitsyn leads the OHL scoring race with 58 points. In 4 games versus Guelph, he has only 2 points (1/1) and is a combined -9 plus/minus... With a 20-2-0-1 record, the Knights' own the OHL's 2nd best home record (Peterborough: 20-2-0-0). At the Labatt Centre, London scores almost 1.6 goals per game more than on the road (5.4 vs. 3.8) and scores on nearly 35% of their powerplays... Storm goaltender Ryan MacDonald and Knight netminderAdam Dennis will represent the OHL's Western Conference in the 2006 All-Star Game nearly one year after trading places in a 2005 OHL deadline deal.
