
Grrrowl roster trimmed by nine

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers, have announced that nine (9) players have been released from training camp. With the reduction of the roster, the Grrrowl will carry twenty (20) players to Alaska for a five-day trip, that includes exhibition games on Wednesday 10/13) and Thursday (10/14).
Contract players waived by the organization:
Forward: Russell Spence
Defense: Randy Dagenais
*These players are placed on waivers and can be claimed by other ECHL teams
Tryout players released from training camp are:
Goalies: Todd Marr, Mike DiLorenzo
Forwards: Mike Manley Paul Mattucci, Jim Murphy
Defense: Steve Burgess, Dan Pszenyczny
*These players become unrestricted free agents
The Grrrowl will open the 2004-05 schedule with a home game on Friday, October 22, 2004 (opening weekend presented by Verizon Wireless) against the Charlotte Checkers.
