Grrrowl drop 3-1 decision to Florida Everblades

GREENVILLE, SC – On Saturday, JOHN MARKS recorded his 600th career coaching victory, and JUDD MEDAK set a new franchise record with 5 assists in a 5-4 overtime victory over the Florida Everblades. Sunday afternoon, the same two teams met in the re-match and Florida posted a 3-1 victory.

George Awada opened the scoring at 2:34 of the first period as Florida opened a 1-0 lead. At 11:32 of the second period, Laurent Meunier made it 2-0. The goal was disputed because Meunier threw the puck into the net behind MICHAEL GARNETT, but the goal counted and the ‘Blades had a 2-0 lead. MATT DEMARSKI scored his 10th of the season at 19:13 of the second period to pull Greenville within one, 2-1. Joe Blaznek capped the scoring at 1:53 of the third, and Florida went on to the 3-1 victory in front of 4035 at the BI-LO Center. Florida outshot Greenville, 27-26.
