Growlers Trample Beast 7-4

The Growlers would score 3 unanswered goals in the first period to set the tone early en route to trampling the Brampton Beast 7-4 at the CAA Centre Sunday afternoon in Brampton.
Adam Pardy, Matt Bradley and J.J. Piccinich would provide those first period tallies with Matt Bradley's coming on the Powerplay. Evan Neugold would smack in a rebound past Beast goalie Etienne Marcoux just 2:53 into the second period to put the Growlers up 4-0.
The Beast would score 2 straight goals from Nathan Todd and Artur Tianulin to cut the Growlers lead in half, but the Newfoundland Squad would rally back, scoring three goals to close out the second period. Sam Babintsev at 15:11, Hudson Elynuik just 21 seconds later at 15:32 and Zach O'Brien at 16:57 to create a 7-2 Growlers lead.
Jake Patterson would take over the goaltending duties in the third period for the Beast, saving all 8 shots that came his way. With seven goals on the board, the Growlers offence eased up in the final frame but Brampton managed to capitalize on 2 scoring chances, one from Liam Kerins, while Artur Tianulin would score his second of the game for the Beast. Time would run out on the Beast and the Growlers win their final road game of January by the score of 7-4

The next seven Growlers games will be hosted at Mile One Centre.
