Kalamazoo, Mich - The Kalamazoo Growlers have been upended by the Lakeshore Chinooks by a score of 5-1.

The Growlers (0-4) pitching struggled with control as they walked seven Chinooks (3-1) batters. Starter Dillon Haviland (Duke) went six innings, he gave up just three hits on the night which translated to three earned runs. Haviland was given the loss.

Chinooks pitching kept the Growlers hitters at bay, they gave up just six hits, and struck out eight. Nick Yarnall(Pittsburgh) was the only Growler to have an RBI on a sacrifice fly in the second inning.

Newly added Growler Karl Sorensen (St. Cloud State) went 2-for-4 and crossed home plate in the second inning for the Growlers only run.
