
Grizzlies rout Windy City for series win

The Gateway Grizzlies (45-44) used a complete game from Alex Justus and an offensive explosion to rout the Windy City ThunderBolts (34-56) Tuesday night at GMC Stadium. The final score was 14-1.
Justus (3-1) tossed the first comlete game of his pro career, allowing one run on seven hits. He struck out six. The complete game was the Grizzlies' 11th as a team, equaling the team record set in 2003.
Ben Margalski led the way offensively. Margalski was 2-4 with a pair of home runs and three runs driven in. Mike Breyman was 3-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Phil Waren was 2-4 with a pair of RBIs. Ryan Sullivan and Oscar Vargas each added home runs as well.
The Grizzlies welcome the Kalamazoo Kings to town for a four-game, three night series. The two teams will play a double-header Wednesday beginning at 5:35 at GMC Stadium.
The Kings are currently in first place in the West Division. The Grizzlies trail the Kings by four games.
