Gateway Grizzlies News Release

The Gateway Grizzlies will hold their second annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday April 10 beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by Tribout Distributors, will also serve as the Grizzlies kick-off to single-game ticket sales.

Tickets for individual Grizzlies games will go on sale beginning at 9:00 a.m. and can be purchased by calling the Grizzlies at 618-337-3000 or visiting the Grizzlies in person at GMC Stadium. Tickets can also be purchased online at the Grizzlies website at www.gatewaygrizzlies.com.

This will be fans' first chance to order tickets for Opening Night, July 4th weekend, or any other individual game as the Grizzlies defend their 2003 Frontier League title.

Single tickets are $8.00 for reserved box seats, $5.00 for general admission lawn seating, and $36.00 for a reserved picnic table, which includes seating for six.

Beginning at 11:00 a.m. fans can have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny and Izzy the Grizzlie. The Kid's Zone will be open, including the speed pitch and target toss. Tribout Distributors will also have their carnival rides in the Kid's Zone that day. Concession stands will be open during the entire event. Volunteers from the Shawn Hornbeck Foundation will be on hand to provide free finger printing and I.D. kits for children. Grizzlies players will also be on hand for autographs. Radio Disney, KHITS 96, and WIL will all broadcast live during the events.

The first egg hunt kicks off at 11:00 a.m. for toddlers ages 1-2. There will be five other hunts with approximately 45 minutes between the start times of each hunt. 20 eggs in each hunt will contain Grizzlie Bucks, good for purchases within GMC Stadium. The final hunt will be for adult season ticket holders. Ticket holders will receive small plastic shovels, which they will use to dig up the GMC Stadium infield in search of "The Golden Egg." The fan finding the golden egg will win a certificate for a 20-person group night with the Grizzlies, including tickets for an upstairs suite and catering for the night.

The Grizzlies will begin their fourth Frontier League season, and defense of their 2003 league championship Friday May 21, on the road at River City. The Grizzlies open the home season May 28 when the Rockford RiverHawks come to town.

Season tickets and mini-plans are currently on sale and are available by calling the Grizzlies at 618-337-3000 or visiting the GMC Stadium box office.
