Utah Grizzlies News Release

Boise, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads (20-5-0-2) defeated the Utah Grizzlies 5-1 Wednesday night at Quest Arena.

Idaho started the scoring with a power-play goal 1:20 into the first period and never looked back as Utah had penalty problems early and often. The Steelheads made it 2-0 on their fourth power-play with 2:12 left in the first period after Utah and goaltender Mitch O'Keefe killed power-plays two and three to keep the game 1-0 until late in the first.

Idaho added two more in the second period and one in the third to build a 5-0 lead.

AJ Perry stopped the bleeding for Utah with 9:30 left in the game on his ninth goal of the year. Ryan Kinasewich and Tom May picked up assists.

The Grizzlies return home Friday and Saturday when they will welcome Bakersfield to the E-Center. Face-off both evenings is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
