Utah Grizzlies News Release
West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and General Manager Tim Branham announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forwards Adam Pineault and David Vallorani along with defenseman Martin Lee for the 2013-2014 season.
Pineault, 27, joins Utah with 339 games of professional experience; including 201 AHL games and 3 in the NHL. He was drafted in the second round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by Columbus and made his NHL debut on April 3, 2008 against Detroit. He played last year with the CHL Champion Allen Americans and had 16 goals and 23 assists for 39 points in 53 games.
"Adam's experience will be extremely valuable for our hockey club," said Branham. "He is a proven winner and will be heavily looked upon this season on and off the ice."
Vallorani, 24, comes to the Grizzlies after spending last season with the Kelly Cup Champion Reading Royals where he played for Branham, who was then the Royals Assistant Coach. He tallied 59 points in 68 games on 17 goals and 42 assists. He ranked second in the league in rookie scoring and led all ECHL rookies in assists.
"Having won the ECHL championship with David last season, I know what he brings to the table," said Branham. "He is extremely talented with the puck and will bring a lot of offense to our lineup."
Lee, 24, returns to the Grizzlies after playing the final 21 games of last year with Utah following a trade with San Francisco on February 19; as he instantly helped stabilize the Utah blue line. Entering his second pro season after four seasons of college hockey at Elmira College, Utah was 9-6-1-5 with the six-foot-three Lee in the lineup last season.
"I am excited to have Martin back in Utah," said Branham. "He is a big body who is capable of playing the tough minutes for us. I look forward to working with him this season."
The Grizzlies open the regular season Friday, October 18 against Idaho at Maverik Center at 7:05 p.m.
Ticket packages for the 2013-2014 season are on sale now and start at just $29. For more information, visit www.utahgrizzlies.com or call (801) 988-7825.

They play at Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah which hosted Olympic Ice Hockey during the 2002 Winter Olympics. During their history, the Grizzlies have advanced over 200 players to the NHL.
