
Greisinger takes no-no into 7th

Toledo, OH - The Richmond Braves fell to the Columbus Clippers 2-0 at Fifth Third Field on Saturday. Seth Greisinger had a no-hitter through six and two thirds innings but still took the loss.
Greisinger and Toledo starter Jason Grilli tossed six scoreless innings apiece until the Mud Hens broke through in the seventh. Greisinger walked Gookie Dawkins with two outs. Gawkins stole second and former R-Brave Dewayne Wise came through with Toledo's first hit of the game, an RBI single to right field. The Mud Hens added another run in the eighth as another former R-Brave, Mike Hessman, singled to start the inning, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a single by Brandon Harper. The Braves had their best chance to score in the fourth inning. With the bases loaded and only one out, Scott Pratt hit a low liner that was caught by Curtis Granderson, who doubled off Andy Marte who was running to third.
Greisinger pitched a total of seven innings allowing one hit, one run, and three walks while striking out six. Jason Grill earned the win, pitching seven and two-thirds scoreless innings for the Mud Hens. Esix Snead had two hits for the Braves. The game produced a total of ten hits, all singles. The Braves have now lost three in a row and five of their last six.
