TONIGHT'S GAME: The second of a two game series and the second of 12 meetings, six in Toledo. The Braves are 0-1 at Toledo this year. The Braves were 7-5 vs. the Mud Hens last season 3-3 at Toledo. The Braves are 1-4 on a six game road trip. Richmond has lost three in a row and five of their last six. Richmond is 8-12 vs. West Division clubs, 5-6 on the road. The Braves are third in the South 16 games off the pace. The Mud Hens are first in the West, two and a half games ahead of Indianapolis. The Braves are 379-319 all-time vs. Toledo.

YESTERDAY'S GAME: The Richmond Braves fell to the Columbus Clippers 2-0 at Fifth Third Field on Saturday. Seth Greisinger had a no-hitter through six and two thirds innings but still took the loss. Greisinger and Toledo starter Jason Grilli tossed six scoreless innings apiece until the Mud Hens broke through in the seventh. Greisinger walked Gookie Dawkins with two outs. Gawkins stole second and former R-Brave Dewayne Wise came through with Toledo's first hit of the game, an RBI single to right field. The Mud Hens added another run in the eighth as another former R-Brave, Mike Hessman, singled to start the inning, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a single by Brandon Harper. The Braves had their best chance to score in the fourth inning. With the bases loaded and only one out, Scott Pratt hit a low liner that was caught by Curtis Granderson, who doubled off Andy Marte who was running to third. Greisinger pitched a total of seven innings allowing one hit, one run, and three walks while striking out six. Jason Grill earned the win, pitching seven and two-thirds scoreless innings for the Mud Hens. Esix Snead had two hits for the Braves. The game produced a total of ten hits, all singles. The Braves have now lost three in a row and five of their last six. The Braves have now been shutout ten times this season. The Braves were shutout a total of ten times each in 2003 and 2004.

ROTATION RUN: Over the last 15 games Braves starting pitchers have allowed 28 earned runs in 93 innings (2.71 ERA). Braves starters are 4-6 with five no decisions during that stretch. The Braves have used seven different starters in those 17 games. Sam McConnell was the first starter in 16 games to allow a home run (7/1 vs. COL). Braves starters have now allowed only one home run since 6/14 vs. Syracuse (18 games).

GOING STREAKING: The Braves have allowed only three home runs in their last 16 games. The Braves have hit a homer in five of their last seven games. Richmond is in a stretch of 39 straight games vs. American League affiliates. Braves pitchers will not have to hit again in a game until July 9. The Braves are 17-36 vs. American League affiliates. Andy Marte has a four game hitting streak (5-13 .385). Tony Pena's six game hitting streak ended last night. He was 8-for-19 with a .421 batting average during the streak. Kerry Robinson's seven game hit streak came to an end last night. He was 9-for-28 with a .321 batting average. James Jurries is 17 for his last 40 (.425). Bill McCarthy is 1 for his last 30.

ON THE LEADER BOARD: The Braves are last in the IL in batting average, runs, and walks issued. Seth Greisinger is seventh in the league in ERA. Esix Snead is tied for the IL lead in stolen bases. Recent R-Braves acquisition Kerry Robinson still leads the PCL in steals with 26.

THE ROSTER: The active roster now stands at 24 (12 pitchers, two catchers, five infielders, and five outfielders with two players on the DL). The Braves have made 76 roster moves this season and lost 196 man-games to the disabled list. Nine Braves have earned big league call-ups this season and four are currently with Atlanta (Roman Colon, Kyle Davies, Kelly Johnson, and John Foster). The other five big league call-ups were Andy Marte, Frank Brooks, Matt Childers, Seth Greisinger, and Brayan Pena. Nine Braves have been placed on the DL this season. The Braves are in their longest stretch without a roster move since April 28.
