AUGUSTA, Ga. - A four-run Augusta second inning paced the GreenJackets to a 6-3 win over the RiverDogs in South Atlantic League action at Lake Olmstead Stadium Saturday night.

With the victory, Augusta ups its record to 31-22, 62-61 overall, while Charleston falls to 23-32, 49-76 overall.

Augusta rapped out four runs on four hits in the second inning to take a 4-0 lead against Charleston's Shane Greene. Devin Harris' RBI double and a two-run single from Joel Weeks were the highlights of the stanza.

The GreenJackets tacked on a run in the fifth courtesy of Ryan Lollis' RBI single for a 5-0 cushion.

Charleston scratched out a run in the sixth inning on Kelvin De Leon's RBI off Augusta starter Taylor Rogers, trimming the score to 5-1.

Rogers (10-9), the reigning SAL Pitcher of the Week, worked 6.0 strong innings, permitting just one run on four hits with a pair of strikeouts.

Joel Weeks ripped a leadoff double in the seventh and eventually came into score on a wild pitch, upping Augusta's lead to 6-1.

Greene (4-12) navigated a career-high tying 7.0 innings, allowing all six runs on eight hits, while fanning seven.

In the eighth, the Dogs got some help in putting up a pair of run to inch closer at 6-3. Garrison Lassiter and Jose Toussen both walked, and a Shane Brown single loaded the sacks. A passed ball plated Lassiter, while Toussen scored on the same play on an Augusta throwing error.

That's as close as Charleston would get, as Jose Valdez finished up the eighth inning scoreless, while Brett Bochy hummed a flawless ninth to notch his seventh save.

Sunday's finale, set for a 5:35 p.m. first pitch, has Charleston right-hander Mike Gipson (0-1, 2.00 ERA) toeing the slab against Augusta southpaw Mike Kickham (4-8, 4.50 ERA).
