Augusta GreenJackets News Release


Augusta, GA - The Augusta GreenJackets will return home to play their first game of 2010 at Lake Olmstead Stadium against the Charleston RiverDogs on Friday at 7:35 p.m. to kick off an eight-game homestand, their first and only in the month of April.

Below is a listing of ballpark activities and promotions for the upcoming homestand:

Friday April 16th (special 7:35 p.m. start time vs. Charleston) - Opening Night, presented by Doctor's Hospital, NBC Augusta and the Augusta Chronicle. All fans will receive an Augusta GreenJackets 2010 magnetic schedule when entering the ballpark. The Ft. Gordon Band will be on hand with the Ft. Gordon Color Guard to perform the national anthem during opening ceremonies. Only general admission seats remain while supplies last.

Saturday April 17th (7:05 p.m. vs. Charleston) - Fireworks Extravaganza #1, sponsored by Doctor's Hospital, NBC Augusta and the Augusta Chronicle. Only general admission seats remain while supplies last.

Sunday April 18th (2:05 p.m. vs. Charleston) - Kids Eat Free Sunday, presented by the Augusta Chronicle. All kids 12 and under will eat free. Also, the GreenJackets will welcome Shaw AREVA MOX Services to the ballpark in recognition of their 3,000,000th safe hour of work. Tickets are available on a limited basis.

Monday April 19th (7:05 p.m. vs. Charleston) - $1 Hot Dogs Monday. Fans can enjoy hot dogs for only a dollar from all ballpark concession stands.

Tuesday April 20th (7:05 p.m. vs. Savannah) - 2-for-Tuesday, presented by Somewhere in Augusta and Kraft Singles. Bring a Kraft Singles wrapper to the box office to enjoy buy one, get one FREE tickets. Fans will also enjoy two-for-one pricing on draft beers and fountain drinks.

Wednesday April 21st (7:05 p.m. vs. Savannah) - Bi-Lo Baseball Bingo Wednesday. For the first time all season fans can win prizes by playing Baseball Bingo, presented by Bi-Lo. Also, it's the first Silver Sluggers Night of the year for all fans in the GreenJackets Silver Sluggers Club.

Thursday April 22nd (7:05 p.m. vs. Savannah) - Thirsty Thursday/Earth Day Celebration, presented by Somewhere in Augusta. Fans can enjoy dollar draft beers all night long. The GreenJackets will also be celebrating Earth Day, as it falls on the season's first Thirsty Thursday.

Friday April 23rd (7:05 p.m. vs. Savannah) - T-Shirt Giveaway, presented by Petsch Respiratory Services. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free T-Shirt compliments of Petsch Respiratory Services.
