Lexington, KY - With a big lead after three innings, and an offense that provided 16 hits, the Augusta GreenJackets cruised to their seventh straight win on Friday night with a 9-1 win over the Lexington Legends.

Josh Mazzola doubled home a run in the first inning - the second time he's doubled in the first inning this series - to give the GreenJackets an early 1-0 edge. The GreenJackets really broke out big in the third inning, scoring five times to put the game out of reach. Chris Lofton tripled to right-center and scored when Lexington's center fielder fumbled the ball around to put Augusta up 2-0. Later in the inning, Adam Duvall tripled and scored on Mazzola's RBI single to make it a three-run lead.

After Ryan Lollis's single, Devin Harris doubled Augusta's lead on the last pitch thrown by Lexington starter Ruben Alaniz. Harris drilled a three-run home run to left-center to give the GreenJackets a 6-0 lead and send Alaniz to the showers. Alaniz (6-10) retired just seven of the 15 hitters he faced, allowing six runs on eight hits and a walk in 2.1 innings, striking out two.

The Legends got a run back in the bottom of the third after Delino De Shields doubled with two outs. He stole third and on the steal, a throwing error allowed De Shields to score to give the Legends what would be their lone run of the night.

Ryan Bradley allowed his share of hits, but escaped trouble by inducing four double plays in the first five innings of the game. Bradley (2-1) fired six innings of one-run baseball to get his first win as a starter, scattering eight hits and striking out two. In his 30.1 innings as a starter, Bradley has had 11 double plays turned behind him.

Augusta added to the lead with two in the fifth on an RBI double from Lollis and a run-scoring single by Ryan Scoma. In the ninth, Jeff Arnold's fifth home run of the season made it a 9-1 game. Three of Arnold's five homers have come in Lexington's Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

Edward Concepcion, Austin Fleet and Drew Bowlin struck out five over three perfect innings to put the seal on Augusta's seventh straight win.

The GreenJackets will look for their eighth win in a row and their second straight sweep on Saturday with Gaspar Santiago (3-6, 4.17) taking the mound against Luis Cruz (3-2, 4.18) in a pairing of lefties. First pitch from Lexington comes at 7:05 p.m. with radio pregame coverage beginning at 6:50, airing on WRDW-AM 1630 and online at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com.
