SAINT JOHN - Saint John Sea Dogs defenceman Luke Green has been named to Team Orr for the 2016 BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.

The second-year blueliner was among forty players selected to participate in this season's showcase of top CHL draft-eligible talent. Eight are from the QMJHL.

The Canadian Hockey League unveiled the rosters for Team Orr and Team Cherry today in Toronto. Team Orr is coached by legendary Boston Bruins Hall-Of-Fame defenceman Bobby Orr. Team Cherry is coached by ex-Bruins coach and renowned television hockey analyst Don Cherry.

Green, 17, has eight goals and twenty points, along with a +11 rating, in 35 games so far this season. The Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, product also became the first-ever Sea Dog defenceman to score a hat trick when he buried three goals in Halifax on December 11th.

Green was given a 'B' rating on the "NHL Central Scouting Players to Watch for 2016" list released in November, meaning he is viewed as a potential second- or third-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft.

The 2016 BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game is scheduled for Thursday, January 28th, in Vancouver, B.C. The game will be broadcast live on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
