Green Bay Blizzard Schedule Released for 2012 IFL Season

Green Bay Blizzard News Release
The Green Bay Blizzard Professional Football Team is pleased to announce its 2012 Indoor Football League schedule. The Blizzard will be entering its third season in the IFL after a landmark 2011 campaign. The IFL will consist of 16 teams participating in two conferences, the United Conference and Intense Conference, with teams playing a fourteen game regular season schedule.
Highlights of the 2012 schedule include a home and away game with six of the seven United Conference opponents, a rematch of the 2011 United Conference Championship in Sioux Falls week one, and 2 games against IFL newcomer Cedar Rapids. The Blizzard home opener will be Friday, March 9th.

Chief Operating Officer Art Clarkson said of the schedule, "Opening up with the 2011 IFL Champions in Sioux Falls, then heading to playoff participant Reading, our schedule is not one to be taken lightly; however, I feel we are up to the task." Clarkson also added, "After listening to our great fans, we have kept the start time at 7:30pm on Fridays, and moved to 7:00pm starts on Saturday games."
The Intense Conference will consist of eight teams as well, including Nebraska, Allen (TX), Colorado, Tri-Cities (WA), Everett, Wichita, Wyoming, and IFL newcomer New Mexico. The top 4 teams in each conference will make the playoffs. The top seed will play the four-seed and the two seed will play the three-seed, creating a three round championship.
The Green Bay Blizzard are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL) and were named the 2011 IFL Franchise of the Year.
