Not only does Norcott excel on the football field, but he also excels in the weight room. In 2011, for his 5th national title, Norcott finished with 562 pounds (squat), 369 pounds (bench), 639 pounds (dead lift), racking up a total of 1,570 pounds. Omaha Head Coach, Bruce Cowdrey, stated "John is what we needed to upgrade in our red zone presence.
