Green Bay Blizzard News Release

The Green Bay Blizzard announced today that they have been assigned seven players by the af2 league office, including two-year Blizzard veteran FB/LB Dustin Sagedahl.

Sagedahl (6-3, 270 South Dakota) returns to the Blizzard for his third season, also his third in Arena Football. "We're glad to have him back," said Head Coach Bob Landsee. "One of the things I look for in my players is leadership, and with his experience he should be able to set a great example for the younger guys."

Offensive Coordinator/Team Development Coordinator Rod Miller agreed. "[Dustin's] been around long enough to know things work," Miller said. "He's been playing for me for two years now, and knows what we're trying to do out there. He's as familiar as anyone with what our offense is about."

A fan favorite in the Green Bay community, Sagedahl holds the distinction of being the only player on the Blizzard roster to play every game of the inaugural 2003 season. "I've been around since the start, so I've been able to see the progress this team has made," said Sagedahl. "With the guys we've got coming back and the guys we've got coming in this year, we should really be able to keep things going in the right direction."

Sagedahl also liked the idea of playing for new Head Coach Bob Landsee. "Playing for guys like Landsee and [Brian] Noble is the best. They've both played in the NFL, the highest level there is, and their experience is only going to make this franchise better."

The Blizzard were also assigned af2 veteran FB/LB Tito Hannah (6-3, 250 South Carolina State), who spent the 2003 season with the Macon Knights. Previously, Hannah played in the Canadian Football League, earning Most Outstanding Rookie with the Montreal Alouettes in 2000 and spending time with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2002. Hannah began his professional career in 1999, when he was in training camp with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Blizzard were also assigned five players new to Arena Football:

WR/LB Kevin Brown 6'1 218 6/28/78 R UNLV

FB/LB Doug Cochrane 6'1 265 3/3/82 R Culver-Stockton
