Manchester Wolves News Release

MANCHESTER, NH (January 04, 2005) Have you ever been trying to watch football only to be interrupted by a million questions? The Manchester Wolves are taking part in a day of learning and fun to teach your significant other the basics of the game and help you both enjoy football more. The class is called Football 101 and will be held at the Southern New Hampshire Athletic Complex on Sunday, January 30th from 10A-2P.

"Football can be complicated," said Wolves General Manager Angelo Mazzella. "With this course we hope to teach women and the public in general to understand the game of arena football. It should be a great way to enhance everyone's enjoyment."

The morning clinic is for women only and will take place from 10A-12: 30P. The Manchester Wolves Arena Football team and the Manchester Freedom Women's Tackle Football team will supply professional players and coaches to help women understand and gain a greater appreciation for the game. The class costs $35 per participant, which includes lunch. Class participants are also being given a free ticket to a Wolves and to a Freedom home game. Women are requested to wear sneakers and comfortable clothing.

"SNHU is excited to work with the Wolves and the Freedom on this class," said Tiffany Lyons, SNHU Alumni and Community Relations Coordinator. Lyons went on to explain, "if you don't know the difference between a first down and a touchdown, you are not alone and we can help you understand the rules."

From 1P-2P the ladies can show their friends and family everything they've learned. An afternoon of fan appreciation takes place following lunch, which is free and open to the public. Everyone is invited to meet the players and coaches, take pictures with the mascots, and enter contests to win prizes.

Those interested in participating are asked to register in advance with the SNHU Office of Alumni and Community Relations at 603.645.9799. A link to a printable form that participants can fax to SNHU will soon be available on the front page of the Wolves website.
