Graterol Tames Fire Frogs In 7-1 Victory

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Brusdar Graterol tossed six innings, and Robby Rinn and Ryan Costello each drove in two to help the Fort Myers Miracle to a 7-1 win over the Florida Fire Frogs on Friday night at Hammond Stadium.
Graterol (3-2) retired 14 straight Fire Frogs between the second and sixth innings. The 19-year old allowed one unearned run on five hits and did not walk a batter. He struck out five.
Florida jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a Braxton Davidson single in the first.
The Miracle responded in the bottom of the frame. Royce Lewis and Ernie De La Trinidad each walked, before Lewis stole third and scored on a throwing error. Later in the inning, Alex Kirilloff knocked in his 31st run on a double that gave Fort Myers a 2-1 advantage.
The game stayed 2-1 until the seventh when Robby Rinn delivered a two-run infield single to push the Miracle lead to 4-1. After being held to two hits through the first six innings, Fort Myers recorded four hits in the frame.
De La Trinidad made it 5-1 in favor of the Miracle with a double in the eighth before Costello crushed a two-run home run, his first High-A long ball, to give the Miracle a 7-1 lead.
Florida's Tucker Davidson (6-9) walked a career high six in four innings of work. The southpaw struck out six.
Jovani Moran and Ryan Mason combined to blank the Fire Frogs over the final three innings.
The game was delayed 13-minutes prior to first pitch due to rain.
The Miracle have won four straight.
The series continues on Saturday night in Fort Myers. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m.
