
Grasshoppers Fall 5-2 against the Crawdads

HICKORY, N.C. - The Greensboro Grasshoppers fell 5-2 to the Hickory Crawdads on Friday, June 30. The Crawdads improved to 7-0 in the second half of the season while the Grasshoppers fell to 1-6 as Hickory outhit Greensboro 13-1.
Leading at the dish for the Grasshoppers was Shawn Ross as he tallied the only hit for Greensboro with two RBI and one run scored.
Starting on the mound for Greensboro was Bubba Chandler as he tallied five strikeouts and gave up nine hits and four runs on three innings of work. Chandler took the loss for the Grasshoppers and moved to 3-3 on the season.
Winston Santos took the win for the Crawdads and improved to 4-4 on the season.
