Avon, OH. - The Lake Erie Crushers have planned an all-star line-up of promotions for fans this summer at All Pro Freight Stadium. Batting leadoff is an exciting Opening Home Stand kicks off on June 2 with Inaugural Season Opening Day festivities presented by ClearChannel Radio and the Morning Journal and concluding on Sunday, June 7.
On Tuesday, the first thousand fans to the game will receive a FREE magnet schedule courtesy of Pizza Cutter and all fans will be able to enjoy a fantastic fireworks show after the game. The gates will open an extra hour early at 5:00 p.m. to allow fans added time watch batting practice and explore the new ballpark. General admission tickets are still available.
Wednesday is Avon Community Night sponsored by Reed Allen, a representative of State Farm Insurance. Thirsty Thursday presented by ClearChannel Radio is a fan favorite with dollar draft beers and fountain drinks. The first 1,000 fans on Thursday will receive a FREE magnet schedule courtesy of Pizza Cutter.
Friday is a fantastic fireworks night presented by Kaplan's Furniture, ClearChannel Radio and the Morning Journal. The first 1,000 fans to the game on Saturday will receive a sport bag thanks to Christian Heritage Assembly of God, ClearChannel Radio and the Morning Journal. The home stand concludes on Sunday with Family Night sponsored by 95.5 The Fish.
"Tuesday is a historic day for our organization," said General Manager Ryan Gates. "In addition to putting together a winning team on the field, equally important to us is the fan experience. We have lots of exciting promotions planned for the opening home stand and we look forward to finally opening our gates, sharing the ballpark with the community, and getting the season underway."
The fun does not stop after the first home stand. Every weekday is a different promotion; dollar dogs on Monday, two for one specials on Tuesday, community drives on Well Wisher Wednesdays, dollar drafts and fountain drinks on Thirsty Thursday, Firework Fridays, giveaways every Saturday and discounted family packages on Sunday. The Lake Erie Crushers are the newest expansion team in the Frontier League, an independent professional baseball league with 12 teams throughout the Midwest.
