
Granbois Returns to K-Wings

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce the signing of forward Travis Granbois (grann-BWAH); per team policy, the terms of the contract will be undisclosed.
In his fourth year pro, Granbois joins the K-Wings after starting the season in the ECHL with the Bakersfield Condors. Granbois also played in three games with the International Hockey League's Quad City Mallards.
The Native of Campbell River, British Columbia was a member of the K-Wings during the 2007-08 season. In a season where Granbois would receive the K-Wings' Meijer Most Improved Player Award, Granbois also tied a team season-high for assists in a game with four (02/29/09).
After his season in Kalamazoo, Granbois remained in the IHL, playing for the Bloomington PrairieThunder, where he finished fifth on the team in scoring with 38 points (13 goals, 25 assists).
Before turning pro, the physical forward played junior hockey in the AJHL with the Bonnyville Pontiacs.
The K-Wings will continue their four-game home stand tonight (11/20) with the third-game of the stretch with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Trenton Devils on Grand Rapids Popcorn Night presented by B-93. Don't forget a home game on Friday means it's Frugal Fan Friday, which features $1 beer and $1 hot dogs.
