Game Preview
Its north versus east, as the Kalamazoo Wings battle the Trenton Devils in the first of two consecutive contests at Wings Stadium. Tonight is the third of five meetings on the season between the teams, with the K-Wings claiming the first two victories opening weekend at the Sovereign Bank Arena.
Winners of four straight contests, the K-Wings are in first place in both the North Division and the American Conference. Over the last 48 hours, the K-Wings roster has taken a bit of a hit, as forwards Rick Cleaver (Hershey) and Mathieu Curadeau (Worcester) have been called-up to the American Hockey League.
Continuing a five-game road swing tonight, Trenton prepares for the third-leg of the trip in Kalamazoo. Trenton, who is 2-3-1-0 on the road, enters the night in third place in the East Division. The Devils snapped a four-game losing streak, with a 4-3 victory Wednesday night against the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Cleaver and Curadeau in the AHL
In the past 48 hours, two members of the K-Wings have been called-up to the AHL. Forward Rick Cleaver has been loaned to the Hershey Bears while, Mathieu Curadeau has been called-up to the Worcester Sharks, giving Kalamazoo eight players currently in the AHL.
K-Wings Add Granbois
Earlier today, the K-Wings have signed forward Travis Granbois. This is Granbois' second tour of the duty with the K-Wings, as he was a member of the 2007-08 squad.

With a record of 10-1-1-0, the K-Wings are off to a fantastic start. With a winning percentage of 0.875, Kalamazoo not only has the best winning percentage in the ECHL, but have the second-best winning percentage amongst all professional hockey in North America (with a minimum of at least 10 games played).

Kalamazoo enters the week on a four-game winning streak. The K-Wings are also unbeaten in regulation in five straight games (4-0-1-0).
