LANCASTER, Pa.-Clipper Magazine Stadium will play host to "Gotta-See Comedy" in October, the Lancaster Barnstormers announced today.
Two stand-up comics will perform every Thursday evening in October in the stadium's Wheatland suite. The shows will begin at 7 p.m. for audiences 21 and older.
"These comics have performed all over the country at some big venues," Barnstormers General Manager Joe Pinto said. "We're excited to bring them to Lancaster and Clipper Magazine Stadium and we expect to see some great comedy."
Admission to Gotta-See Comedy will be $5. A pub-style menu will be available along with a full bar. The schedule of performers is listed below.
Thursday, Oct. 5
Keith Barany, headliner. His political humor cuts through the conventional wisdom on teachers, speeding motorists, supermarket employees, people who pamper their pets and more. Leave your judgment at home.
Mike Shader, feature. Shader's humor seeks out the common life experiences everyone can laugh at.
Thursday, Oct. 12
Scott Heim, headliner. A one-time professional wrestler, Heim's humor combines the timing and precision learned in the ring with the comedic influence of John Ritter, Bill Cosby and Red Skelton.
Danny Browning, feature. Browning's material touches on subjects from life on the road to bad haricuts to SpongeBob SquarePants.
Thursday, Oct. 19
Caroline Picard, headliner. Called the "Janis Joplin of stand-up," Picard is honest and raw on stage. The Louisiana-bred comic is comfortable performing in front of audiences all over the united states and Canada.
Tom Tran, feature.
Thursday, Oct. 26
Freddie Stone, headliner. "The master of the Boston Props," Stone's show includes traditional stand-up, props, music and high energy.
Vince Martin, feature. Critics say Martin's razor sharp wit has the ability to make people laugh at the idiosyncrasies of life.
