Bluefish rally late to edge Bears, 3-2

The Bluefish scored one run in the bottom of the seventh inning which proved to be enough for the Bluefish to hold the 3-2 victory over the Bears.

The Bluefish got on the board first when Norm Hutchins walked in the bottom of the third inning and was later driven in by Deivi Cruz.

In the top of the fourth inning Matt Beech walked Anthony Sanders with the bases loaded to put the Bears on the board. Jack Santora then hit a ball up the middle that scored one but was back handed by second baseman, Steve Hine, who flipped to second to throw out Sanders and save another run.

In his fourth game with the Bluefish, Darryl Brinkley doubled and advanced to third on a Cruz sac bunt. P.J. Rose then doubled to to right field to score Brinkley.

Willis Otanez reached on an infield singled with the game tied at two and two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Damian Rolls then ripped a ball to right-centerfield that moved Willis to third, scoring position for Hine, who singled through the left side to give the Bluefish a 3-2 lead.'

Matt Anderson picked up the save for the Bluefish, his second of the season, making the Bluefish magic number five.
