NEWARK, NJ - September 12, 2006 - Bridgeport Bluefish second baseman Steve Hine hit an RBI single scoring designated hitter Willis Otanez in the bottom of the seventh to break the 2-2 tie and defeat the Newark Bears 3-2 Tuesday evening at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, Otanez hit an infield single, followed by a single to right center field by right-fielder Damien Rolls moving Otanez to third base. Hine followed with run scoring single to left field driving in the eventual winning run.

Trailing the Bluefish 1-0 entering the top of the fourth inning, Bears center-fielder Anthony Sanders drew a bases loaded walk to tie the game, followed by an RBI fielder's choice ground ball to second base by shortstop Jack Santora scoring designated hitter Alexis Hernandez to give the Bears a 2-1 lead. However, Bridgeport came back with a run in the bottom of the fifth inning when first baseman P.J Rose doubled to right field scoring left-fielder Darryl Brinkley.
