
Gorillas set to host Oklahoma City tomorrow night

AMARILLO, TX â The Amarillo Gorillas will play their final weekend home game for almost a month tomorrow night (Friday) when they entertain the Oklahoma City Blazers at 7 p.m. at the Jungle in the Amarillo Civic Center.
The two teams met in an exciting contest last Friday night at the Ford Center that the Gorillas had to rally late to win 4-3. The Gorillas have won five in a row and are just one point out of first place in both the Southern Conference and the Southwest Division. It is the third of four straight games for Joe Ferras' charges against Northern Conference teams.
Friday's game is Ladies' Night and the first 500 ladies will receive a gift courtesy of Freeman's Flowers, Avon and Mary Kay Cosmetics. All ladies will be able to get tickets for that game for just $10.
Gorillas tickets can be purchased at the hockey office located at 1934 Civic Circle; Civic Center Box Office and at Panhandle Ticket Outlets located at Randy's Music Mart, the WT Event Center in Canyon and United Supermarkets. Fans can charge by phone 378-3096 or 242-7825.
The game can be heard live on 1440 AM The Score beginning with the Farmer's Insurance Group Warm Up Show at 6:40 p.m. Amarillo Gorillas Hockey Presented By Bank of America follows at 7 p.m. Fans can also tune in at www.amarillogorillas.com or www.chltv.com.
On Saturday night, the Gorillas will travel to New Mexico to face the Scorpions at 7 p.m. Mountain Time (8 p.m. local time) at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The game will be aired live on 1440 AM The Score, beginning with the Farmer's Insurance Group Warm Up Show at 7:40 p.m. Play-by-play coverage follows at 8 p.m.
