Bucks To Assist Fund For Fallen Laredo Soldier

LAREDO, Texas – The Laredo Bucks announced today that they will be assisting with a fund for Juan Rodrigo Rodriguez. Rodriguez is the first Laredo soldier to be killed in action in Iraq. People can donate to the Juan Rodrigo Rodriguez fund at any Laredo National Bank location in Laredo. For more information call (956) 718-BUCKS (2825) and ask for Bucks President John Beckelhymer.

"There is no more important cause than to support those that risk their lives for us," Arena Ventures CEO Julian "Kiki" DeAyala said. "Whether it is the loss of a police officer, firefighter or soldier, the Laredo Bucks organization is prepared to do their part in honoring their service and bravery while defending our way of life. Their sacrifice to us and our country will not be forgotten."

The Bucks will have a memorial game in honor of Juan Rodriguez on February 5th when they host the Corpus Christi Rayz. The Bucks will sell red, white and blue bracelets for $2 with all profits from the sale of the bracelets being donated to the Juan Rodrigo Rodriguez fund.
