
Goldeyes Sign Newcomers Ellis & Donmoyer

Add two new names to the Winnipeg roster.
Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today the signing of outfielder Lee Ellis and left-handed pitcher Austin Donmoyer. There are now 12 players on the 2010 roster, eight of whom are position players.
Ellis, 25, arrives after spending the 2009 season in the independent Continental League following two years in the Baltimore system. In 24 games with Big Bend, he batted.337 with seven home runs and 28 runs batted in, leading the Cowboys to a spot in the final.
Donmoyer, 23, makes his pro debut following four years at Florida's Flagler College. In 57 appearances for the Saints, he finished 19-18 with a tidy 3.70 earned run average, earning a spot in December on the school's 2000-2009 All-Decade Team.
Ellis and Donmoyer join pitchers Zach Baldwin, Antony Bello and Ian Thomas, infielders Josh Asanovich, Juan Diaz, Vince Harrison and Wes Long and outfielders Dee Brown, Aharon Eggleston and Cory Patton on the 2010 roster. Training camp opens May 7.
