
Goldeyes Make Roster Move Wednesday

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Goldeyes placed first baseman/designated hitter David Bergin on irrevocable waivers for the purpose of granting his release on Wednesday.
Bergin has been diagnosed with a broken hamate bone in his right hand.
Bergin was hitting .250 with one home run and five RBI in nine games played this season. Bergin was the American Association's 2017 Postseason All-Star DH after hitting .323 with 20 home runs and 77 RBI in 100 games.
The Goldeyes roster currently stands at 22 active players.
The Goldeyes play game three of a four-game series versus the Lincoln Saltdogs tonight.
