Goldeyes Fall 3-0 To Pheasants

May 10, 2010 - Northern League (NL)
Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release

Following a quick trip home for a very successful open house on Saturday, Winnipeg's pre-season continued on Sunday with a trip to South Dakota.

Facing the American Association's Sioux Falls Pheasants, the visitors could muster just two singles over 11 innings in a 3-0 loss. The two teams are scheduled to meet again today at 1 p.m and can be heard live on 1290 CFRW.

As the home team's pitchers shut down the Goldeyes, Winnpeg's pitchers held the hosts to just two earned runs on eight hits. Austin Donmoyer was especially sharp, striking out the side while allowing just one hit in one inning of work.

After today's game, the Goldeyes head for home, where training camp resumes at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. After working out for three days, Winnipeg returns to game action this weekend when the defending champs from Fargo-Moorhead arrive for the first of two games. The opener is set for Friday at 7 p.m. with game two going at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Great seats for all Goldeyes game start at just $5 and are available at all Ticketmaster locations, including the ballpark box office, by calling 780-3333 or visiting ticketmaster.ca.
