Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release
Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today the acquisition of outfielder Tillman Pugh from the Gary SouthShore RailCats in exchange for cash considerations.
Pugh, 26, has split this season between Gary and the Schaumburg Boomers of the Frontier League. In 32 games with Gary, he hit .240 with a home run and 13 RBI.
A former farmhand of the New York Mets and Chicago White Sox, Pugh is in his sixth professional season.
To make room for Pugh on the roster, the Goldeyes have placed outfielder Nic Jackson on inactive list due to a leg injury.
The Goldeyes have 22 players on their active roster, including 12 pitchers and 10 position players.
Winnipeg begins a six-game homestand and three-game series against the Amarillo ThunderHeads tonight at Shaw Park. Game time is 7 p.m.
Tickets for all Goldeyes home games are available by clicking on Ticketmaster.ca, calling 1-855-GOLDEYE or visiting any Ticketmaster location, including the Shaw Park box office.
