The Golden Eagles (4-1) remained in first place of the PGCBL East with the victory and lead both Amsterdam and Mohawk Valley by one game at the end of the first week of play.
Glens Falls entered the eighth trailing 5-4. Josh Anderson (Yavapai) started the frame with a base hit and was moved to second by a Zac Hawkins (LSU Eunice) sacrifice bunt. With two outs and runners on first and second, Klein lashed a double into left field that plated David Olson and Mike Tirri to put the Golden Eagles ahead 7-5.
The back-and-forth affair saw Glens Falls race out to a 4-0 lead however Cooperstown scored a single run in the fifth and then two each in the sixth and seventh innings to take a 5-4 advantage.
