Tulsa Oilers News Release

Rolling On: The Tulsa Oilers continue their seven game homestand this weekend, hosting the Austin Ice Bats on Friday and the Oklahoma City Blazers on Saturday. Both games begin at 7:35 p.m. at the Tulsa Convention Center.

Bundle Up: The Oilers are teaming with the Salvation Army this weekend for their annual winter coat drive. Fans are encouraged to bring a winter coat to donate to the Salvation Army. Fans who donate will be entered into a drawing for Oilers prizes and from other area merchants.

1 of Each: The Oilers hit each column in the standings last week, with a 4-0 win over Odessa, a 5-4 overtime loss to Oklahoma City, and 3-0 loss to Bossier-Shreveport.

Dan The Man: Assistant coach Dan Hodge has been named interim head coach for the Oilers replacing Butch Kaebel who resigned on Monday.

Make My Day: Rookie goaltender Clint Chalmers was more like Clint Eastwood, stopping all 41 shots he faced against Odessa in posting his first professional shutout and the Oilers first shutout since Feb. 26, 2005.

Hats Off: There were some other notable firsts Tuesday against Odessa. David Alexandre Beauregard scored the team's first shorthanded goal en route to racking up the team's first hat trick of the season.

Short Circuit: Beauregard's effort Tuesday set the stage for another impressive performance Friday. He scored two shorthanded goals on the same penalty, just 47 seconds apart. He now leads the Oilers in goals with 10.

Tickets Here: Tuesday ticket vouchers are available at Arby's Restaurants. Tickets for all Oilers games are available at the Tulsa Convention Center box office or by calling 877-TULSACC (885-7222).
