
Gogal, Smith Named Players of the Week

DURHAM, NC - The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has selected Rockland Boulders OF Sean Smith and New Jersey Jackals LHP Jeff Gogal as the Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week.
Smith batted .333 in six games this past week. He had seven hits, including three home runs, collected nine RBIs and had an on-base percentage of .462. The Joliet, IL resident also had a slugging percentage of .905 and an OPS of 1.366. Currently, Smith is tied for third in home runs (3) and tied for fourth in RBIs (10).
Gogal notched two saves and a win in three games. In 3 2/3 innings pitched, the resident of Loxley, AL gave up no hits or runs along with two walks while striking out six batters. On the season, Gogal is 1-1 with a 1.93 ERA in 4 2/3 innings pitched.
