Long Island Ducks News Release
(Central Islip, N.Y., May 27, 2015) - Throughout the 2015 season, the Long Island Ducks will be giving fans behind the scenes looks like they've never seen before. The "Faithful Flock" will be brought even closer to the action through exciting new videos filmed with the team's brand new GoPro Hero Cam.
Fans can expect to see videos from all different angles of Bethpage Ballpark during the season. The Ducks will be strapping the camera on to show fans what it looks like when they are standing in the batter's box facing a 90 mile per hour fastball or chasing down a fly ball in the outfield. Members of the Ducks promotional staff will also sport the GoPro Hero Cam during the year to showcase the experience of tossing t-shirts into the crowd or operating the scoreboard in the control room. The team also plans to give fans an inside look at the Ducks broadcast booth during a game to check out a broadcaster as he's calling the game, and our grounds crew will adorn the GoPro Hero Cam as they prepare and maintain the field on a game day.
Each of these unique videos will be available to view on the Ducks' official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/ducksbaseball. They can also be seen in the Ducks Video Center on the homepage of the team's official website, www.liducks.com. Be sure to check back often throughout the course of the season as new videos are posted.
There are so many different ways to use the GoPro Hero Cam, the possibilities are endless! If you have an idea for a video you would like to see, please contact the Ducks and let them know. Simply send an e-mail with your idea to Michael Polak, Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting, at mpolak@liducks.com.
The Long Island Ducks are members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and play their home games at Bethpage Ballpark. For further information, call (631) 940-DUCK or visit www.liducks.com.
