SAVANNAH, GA -This Friday the 13th, the Savannah Sand Gnats are engaging with their spooky side by celebrating Halloween in August, on FRITOS© Family Friday presented by Mix 102.1 and FRITOS©. Any fan who attends Friday's 7:05 game against the Kannapolis Intimidators dressed in costume will receive a General Admission ticket for just one dollar.
The Gnats will hold a costume contest for the best-dressed fans. The top five costumes will compete for Savannah Sand Gnats playoff tickets for the upcoming home playoff game on September 10.
Mix 102.1 will be giving away movie tickets to select fans on Friday, the 13 th.
"Halloween is easily in the top three of 'cool things' about October, along with the World Series and National Bologna Day," said Gnats team president John Katz. "Between trick-or-treating and dressing up as your favorite character, Halloween, much like a Sand Gnats game, has something for everyone."
Also, this Friday will be the final FRITOS© Family Friday of the 2010 season. Thanks to FRITOS© Family Friday, randomly selected families will participate in ballpark activities such as: performing PA Announcer duties, being a co-radio broadcaster or even tossing out a ceremonial first pitch. And on top of that, bring your empty FRITOS© bag or pick up a bag at the Historic Grayson Stadium. Then show the FRITOS© bag at the stadium store during FRITOS© Family Friday games to get 10% off Sand Gnats merchandise.
